Eight years ago I said, “I do” to the love of my life. That was the easy part. Stress can overtake you if you don’t know how to have fun with planning the perfect day. I say the perfect day loosely, because it doesn’t have to go perfect and probably won’t. Here are some tips to help you relax and enjoy planning your wedding.

Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Also don’t feel because it is your day that YOU have to plan everything. Ask your bridal party to help out. They will be happy you asked. One of the main purposes for a bridal party is to help. Next get your Entertainer involved. Most great DJ services provide planning and coordination. You’ll be surprised what great ideas we can provide our clients, which in turn will give you, your excitement back. Last, most venues provide many services for their clients. Be sure to ask what they provide. Whether it is the champagne for the toast or if they serve the cake after you slice it. But be cautious of venues that hire services for you. This may not be in your best interest.

Give your groom small tasks. Most men do not know a thing about planning a wedding, so they usually leave it up to the bride. However, they would love to help out. Give them tasks that involve their expertise.

Last plan a fun day with everyone. Whether it is all the girls to the spa or the guys golfing you will be surprised what a little R&R will do. Bachelor or Bachelorete parties aren’t the only days of fun anymore.

Hopefully this helps in the quest for a great wedding. Remember if something goes out of order, relax chances are your guests will never know it. Most importantly look at your groom or bride. THEY are what it is all about. Congrats and enjoy your life together. Oh, and call me. I’ll be glad to do your 50th anniversary.
